PE Stamped Drawings & Design Review in Texas
When your customer, your insurer or a code official asks for a licensed engineer’s seal, you need an engineer who checks the design before signing it. I provide engineering calculations and sealed drawings for machines, racking and conveyor structures as a Professional Engineer licensed in Texas.

Frequently asked questions
Does my project need a PE stamp?
Often, no. A seal is usually triggered by someone asking for one: your customer or contract, your insurer, a code official, or equipment being built into someone else’s facility. Send me what was requested and I’ll tell you honestly whether you need one.
When don't I need a licensed engineer?
In Texas, a company’s own full-time employees can generally design the products that company manufactures, and make reasonable changes to its own non-public facility, without a license, as long as the company doesn’t offer engineering to the public. If that’s you and nobody is asking for a seal, you may not need me for a stamp. I’ll tell you if that’s the case. This is general information, not legal advice; the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) has the details.
We're hiring outside design help. Does it matter if they're licensed?
Yes. In Texas, engineering offered to the public must come from a licensed engineer working through a registered firm. Ludawise Engineering is both.
Our equipment is going into a customer's facility. Do we need sealed drawings?
Sometimes. Racking, conveyor structures and platforms installed in someone else’s building are where requests for sealed drawings commonly come up, from the owner, their engineer or a code official. I can provide them when they’re needed.
Can you seal drawings someone else made?
I can review them. Before I seal anything, I run my own complete check and calculations so I can take full responsibility for the design. If the review turns up problems, you get written findings to fix first.
Can you work on projects outside Texas?
I’m currently licensed in Texas. For a project in another state, reach out early: depending on the state and your timeline, I may be able to get licensed there before any engineering work begins. I’ll tell you up front what’s realistic.
What do you need from me to get started?
Drawings or models, the intended use and loads, and who is requiring the seal. Send it through the form and I’ll reply within one business day.
